Northstar gives product teams a dependable release workspace for customer-facing SaaS changes.
Current Position
Public Beta is close. The release candidate is ready for review, but the Gate has not passed. One Planning Review needs human judgment before that decision.
Established Baseline

Project Summary
Purpose
Northstar makes release governance readable without replacing canonical project state. It gives product and delivery owners one place to inspect outcomes, decisions, and the evidence behind them.
The daily job is to see the current position, identify where human judgment is required, and follow the relevant evidence without prescribing new action.
Current Design
The project reading connects four levels of governance context:
- Peer Roadmaps show complete outcome horizons and their current Gates.
- Gates keep lifecycle, readiness, and human Passage separate.
- Efforts connect governed outcomes to provider-native Current Work.
- Assets, Authorities, and Planning Lineage preserve each evidence role.
Boundaries
- This interactive sample uses fixed mock data and runs entirely in the browser.
- It does not call an API, provider, filesystem, or production business logic.
- Ready for review is evidence for a decision; it does not pass a Gate.
- Stale or non-current evidence stays visible but cannot contribute to readiness.
